SIDONIE
CAREY-GREEN

Concrete
Set against the eroding cliffs of Folkestone where landslips, fractures, and coastal collapse are both geological fact and political metaphor, this site-specific dance work explores the bodily experience of a landscape slowly collapsing. The performers, dressed in boilersuits drenched in set concrete, carry on their skin the very materials that have defined human attempts to control nature: concrete. But nothing holds.
Through the persistent labour of movement, they begin to shed.
Premiered at Folkestone Fringe, 2025
