CHECK OUT MY SHIRT

A dance theatre production in collaboration with Kent-based dancer Rebecca Thompson.

Check Out My Shirt was premiered at Brighton Fringe, May 2017 and nominated for the South East Dance Space to Dance award. The production then went on to win the Made In Kent Dance Competition and featured in Canterbury Festival 2017.

This duet grew from Sidonie and Rebecca's personal experiences of navigating the world in their early 20s – the crossroads they face, the times they’ve had to adapt, the walls they’ve had to climb (and are still climbing!) and the times when they have no idea what is going on. 

“Have  you ever looked back at some of the fashion choices you made in old photos and thought – did I really think that was a good idea?! That is what life is like in my 20s”

First performed at The Art Market, Maidstone – 17/09/16. In its second stage of development, the project was renamed Check Out My Shirt and performed at Beyond Boundaries, January 2017.
